    The Brazilian Mercantile & Futures Exchange (BM&F) traded a record-breaking 8.817 million mini futures contracts in 2006. In 2005, this total amounted to 1.013 million. For 2007, BM&F plans to launch a new mini futures contract for gold.     The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®) today announced that its new futures contract based on the Dow JonesSM U.S. Real Estate IndexSM (DJUSRE) will launch on February 21, 2007.  The electronically-traded DJUSRE Index futures contract is designed to allow market participants to capitalize on changes in the real estate sector of the stock market, and better manage commercial real estate exposure.

    The Brazilian Mercantile & Futures Exchange (BM&F) ended 2006 with an annual growth of 42.17% in traded contracts totaling 283.57 million contracts against 199.45 million traded in 2005. The average volume of contracts traded daily at the Exchange in 2006 was 1.152 million, including mini futures contracts.
