Dubai Financial Market (DFM) yesterday announced that its landmark AED 1.6 billion (US$435 million) Initial Public Offering (IPO) collected about AED 190 billion with approximately 300 times oversubscribe. The IPO was opened on Sunday November 12, 2006 and closed on Thursday November 23, 2006. The DFM announced that excess funds will be returned on December 10, 2006.

Mashreq Capital Launches First Specialist Fixed-Income Fund At DIFC - New Fund To Be The First In A Family Of Funds

With the incorporation of its first DIFC funds company, MCF Series I, Mashreq Capital today announced the launch of a specialist emerging market debt fund, following approval from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA). Known as the Emerging Market Credit Opportunities (EMCO) fund, it is the first specialist fixed income hedge fund at the DIFC and was developed entirely within the DFSA’s Collective Investment Law framework.

Standard & Poor's Announces The S&P/TSX Canadian Bond Index Rebalancing Report

Standard & Poor's has completed the monthly rebalancing of the S&P/TSX Canadian Bond Index. According to index methodology, the universe of Canadian bonds is exhaustively reviewed to reflect changes in par amount and term to existing index constituents. Qualifying new issues are added to the index and existing constituents that no longer meet the criteria for inclusion are removed.

Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Friday, November 24, 2006: Geostar Metals Inc. (TSXVN:GOS) will change its name to Skana Capital Corp. The company will continue to trade under the new ticker symbol "SKN" and with a new CUSIP number 830500 10 4. There is no consolidation of capital.

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P Europe 350 and S&P United Kingdom indices effective after the close of trading on Tuesday, 28 November 2006: Drax Group PLC (United Kingdom, SEDOL: B1FGRL9, GICS: Utilities, GICS Code: 55105010) will replace AWG PLC (United Kingdom, SEDOL: 3312661 GICS: Utilities, GICS Code: 55104010) in the S&P Europe 350 and S&P United Kingdom indices, following the acquisition of the latter by Osprey Acquisitions Limited.
