  • HKFE Releases Analysis of 31 July HKATS Test

    The Hong Kong Futures Exchange (HKFE) said today that it has sent an analysis of the 31 July simulated trading test of its HKATS electronic trading system to its Members.   • CME E-mini S&P 500 Futures Set New Volume Mark

    Volume in E-mini S&P 500 on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) today set a new record for the second time this week, as 60,366 contracts were traded on the GLOBEX®2 trading system. The new mark is the first time single-day volume has surpassed 60,000 contracts and follows Tuesday's record volume of 56,773 contracts.

  • New Records Set at IPE

    The IPE has seen yet more record volumes in 1999. Yesterday, the IPE's Gas Oil futuresreached new levels when the contract traded 57,778 lots compared to the previous high set on 11 January 1996 when 56,332 lots traded. Russia's decision to severely reduce exports of gas oil, fuel oil and gasoline was the apparent reason for the increase in activity according to brokers.

  • CME & LIFFE Form Strategic Partnership

    The Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) and the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) today announced the formation of a strategic partnership between the exchanges.

  • CBOT To List Municipal Bond Contracts At Six Percent

    The Chicago Board of Trade announced today that beginning August 9, 1999, it will list the 6 percent Bond Buyer Municipal Bond contract. Currently, the contract is based on an 8 percent contract. The change will take effect with the March, June and September 2000 contracts.
