  • Jean-Marie Messier Resigns From NYSE Board

    The New York Stock Exchange announced today that Jean-Marie Messier has resigned from its board of directors, effective December 9, 2002. At the time Mr. Messier joined the board in June 2001, he was the chairman and chief executive officer of a large international group, the NYSE-listed Vivendi Universal. Mr. Messier tendered his resignation following his recent successful launch of a merchant bank, Messier Partners LLC.

  • Futures & Options On RTS Stock Exchange: New Trading Record

    On January 23, 2003, new record - 4 182 trades - was reached at FORTS (Futures & Options on RTS) derivatives market (futures traded 4,030 times, options - 152 times). The previous daily trading record of 3,785 trades as of November 26th, 2002, was exceeded by 10,5%.
