Oslo Børs to operate IT systems for the Copenhagen Stock Exchange

Oslo Børs and the Copenhagen Stock Exchange have signed an agreement for the development and operation of joint IT systems. The two exchanges intend to use shared resources to develop support systems for the trading system, and these systems will then be operated and maintained by Oslo Børs.

CBOT Ends 2001 With Second Highest Volume Year In Exchange History Trading 260,333,070 Contracts; December Volume At 19,856,126 Contracts Traded

The Chicago Board of Trade(CBOT) today announced total 2001 year-end volume of 260,333,070 contracts, an increase of 11.5% from 2000. This represents the second highest yearly volume total at the CBOT, exceeded only in the year 1998 when over 281 million contracts were traded at the exchange.

2001 Is Second Highest Year On Record At CBOE

Capping off the second strongest year in its history, the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), the world's largest options exchange, ended 2001 with total exchange-wide volume of 306,669,713 contracts (180,686,938 calls and 125,982,775 puts). Index options exhibited the strongest growth, with year-end total index volume showing a 55% increase over year-ago levels.
