SEHK Announce Capital Adjustment to HKB Options Series
The SEHK Options Clearing House Ltd. announced that subject to the one for three share sub-division of HSBC Holdings Plc (HKB) and commencement of dealing in the New Shares becoming effective on July 5, 1999, the contract terms of all existing options series on HKB will be adjusted under the Options Clearing Rules by the adjustment ratio of 0.3333.

Copper Futures Trading Sets NYMEX Volume Record
COMEX Division copper futures set a daily volume record of 35,168 contracts on the New York Mercantile Exchange Friday, topping the previous volume record of 28,701 contracts traded on May 17, 1996. Exchange President R. Patrick Thompson said, 'The Exchange is very pleased with the success of its copper futures contract which continues to be a key source of price discovery and risk management for the North American copper market.'

CBOT, CME and NYMEX Petition for Regulatory Exemption
The three largest U.S. futures exchanges have petitioned the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for regulatory relief in response to the CFTC's plan to process no-action requests from foreign boards of trade seeking to place trading terminals in the United States.

The BSE Index barely changed this week with 26 companies exchanging hands out with an improvement in the advance decline ratio 14 to 8. In other GCC states, Muscat Index (MSM )was up 1.5% while the Index dropped in Kuwait (KSE: -0.7%), Saudi (NCFEI: -0.3%) and Emirates NBAD: -1.4%). ASX and Stock Exchange of Thailand sign MoU
The Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) and the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance the lines of communication between the two exchanges. EURO.NM gains 250th company listing
