Nasdaq Liffe Markets Announces A New Transaction-"EFOs"

Nasdaq Liffe Markets, LLC (NQLX) announced today the introduction of a new exchange transaction-an Exchange for Options or "EFO" transaction. An EFO, which is similar to an Exchange for Physical (EFP), allows two parties to link across markets the execution of a trade for exchange-listed security options with the execution of a security futures trade.

(CME) reached a new high yesterday, March 17, with 1,787,028 contracts traded, as E-mini™ S&P 500® futures surpassed the one million mark for the second time with 1,131,924 contracts. Excluding days on which CME employed special opening procedures for its nontraditional TRAKRSSM products, yesterday marked the highest GLOBEX volume day in CME history.
