    The London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) traded £51 trillion worth of contracts in the first ten months of 2000, 15% up on the same period in 1999 and more than the £50 trillion nominal value traded in the whole of last year.   • Boston Stock Exchange Announces Management Changes - Kenneth R. Leibler To Become Chairman And CEO; William G. Morton, Jr. To Serve As Senior Advisor; Transition Effective March, 2001

    The Boston Stock Exchange (BSE) has announced that William G. Morton, Jr., the longest serving stock exchange chief executive in the country, will step down as Chairman and CEO on March 30, 2001, after 16 years of service. Mr. Morton will be succeeded by Kenneth R. Leibler, former President and CEO of Liberty Financial Companies and past President of the American Stock Exchange. Mr. Morton will be named Chairman Emeritus and continue to serve the Exchange as a senior advisor.
