    Open interest on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) reached a record 23,244,466 positions yesterday, Nov. 14. In addition, open interest in E-mini S&P MidCap 400™ futures surpassed 10,000 positions for the first time, reaching a record 10,434 positions, while open interest in E-mini Russell 2000® futures set a new record at 12,694 positions.

    Continuing its string of milestones, BrokerTec Futures Exchange, the nation's only fully-electronic fixed income futures exchange, announced that it surpassed 30,000 contracts traded in a single day for the first time and set a record daily screen-traded volume of 31,380 contracts yesterday (November 14th). In addition, BTEX set record volumes in both its 10-year Treasury note and 30-year Treasury bond futures of 13,641 and 12,986 contracts, respectively.
