Boston Options Exchange Sets New Record In Weekly Trading Volume

For the week of Sep. 19 to Sep. 23, 2005, average daily volume set a new record of 405,691 contracts. BOX ended the week with 2,028,457 contracts traded. This is the first time BOX volume surpassed two million contracts in a single week.

Trading In Equity Derivatives At OMX To Become More Attractive

In order to strengthen its customer offering, OMX Derivatives Market will reduce its fees for certain customer segments with respect to trading in primarily Swedish stock options. The fee adjustment, which is expected to increase trading in these products on the exchange, will become effective on January 2, 2006.

Today, the shares of Panalpina Welttransport Holding AG, a Swiss freight forwarding and logistics company, were traded in the main segment of the SWX Swiss Exchange for the first time. The offering price was set yesterday, Wednesday, at CHF 80 and the opening price on SWX was CHF 95. This corresponds to a market capitalisation of CHF 2.375 billion.
