NASD Fines Citigroup, Merrill Lynch And Morgan Stanley A Total Of $750,000 For Failing To Comply With Discovery Obligations In Arbitrations

NASD announced today that it has censured and fined Citigroup Global Markets, Inc., formerly Salomon Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated, and Morgan Stanley DW Inc. $250,000 each for failing to comply with their discovery obligations in 20 arbitration cases during the period 2002 through 2004.

The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 5,455.7 points at the end of June, an increase of 173.6 points from the closing value at the end of May. The weighted index reached 293.7 points at the end of June, an increase of 2.57 points from the closing value at the end of May.

International Securities Exchange Elects Jason Lehman To Board Of Directors

The International Securities Exchange (ISE) said today that Jason Lehman, Managing Director and head of the Global Options business at Citadel Investment Group LLC, joined its Board of Directors. The ISE Board consists of 15 members, six industry directors, eight non-industry directors and ISE's Chief Executive Officer.
