SEC Extends Comment Period For Proposed Regulation B, Provisions Implementing Gramm-Leach-Bliley Bank Broker Rules

The Securities and Exchange Commission today voted to extend for 30 days the comment period on the proposed Regulation B published in the Federal Register on June 30, 2004. This proposed regulation is designed to implement provisions of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999 that delineate the securities activities banks may engage in without registering as brokers under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.

H1 2004 Financial Results Of HEX Tallinn

The total turnover of HEX Tallinn, the group uniting Tallinn Stock Exchange and Estonian CSD, was EUR 1.3 million in H1 2004, up 9 pct from the same period previous year. The shareholders' equity stood at EUR 2.4 million at the end of the period. The net profit for six months 2004 totalled EUR 0.3 million. The results are consolidated, but unaudited.

On 24 February 2004, Group 4 Falck A/S and Securicor plc announced that it had been agreed to demerge Group 4 Falck A/S into the companies Group 4 A/S and Falck A/S. Subsequently, Group 4 A/S will be merged with Securicor plc and found the company Group 4 Securicor plc. Falck A/S and Group 4 A/S will be listed on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange, while Group 4 Securicor plc will be listed on both the London Stock Exchange and the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
