Chinese Regulator Approves Registration Of Monthly Average Price Futures Of Key Chemical Commodities

The China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) said Friday that it had approved the registration of monthly average price futures of three major chemicals, namely linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polypropylene (PP).

Upon discussion and approval at the 59th meeting of the 4th Board of Governors of Dalian Commodity Exchange, the formulation of the Linear Low Density Polyethylene Monthly Average Price Futures Contract of Dalian Commodity Exchange, the Detailed Rules of Linear Low Density Polyethylene Monthly Average Price Futures of Dalian Commodity Exchange, the Polyvinyl Chloride Monthly Average Price Futures Contract of Dalian Commodity Exchange, the Detailed Rules of Polyvinyl Chloride Monthly Average Price Futures of Dalian Commodity Exchange, the Polypropylene Monthly Average Price Futures Contract of Dalian Commodity Exchange, and the Detailed Rules of Polypropylene Monthly Average Price Futures of Dalian Commodity Exchange; as well as the amendments to the Measures for Trading Management of Dalian Commodity Exchange, the Measures for Risk Management of Dalian Commodity Exchange, the Measures for Clearing Management of Dalian Commodity Exchange, the Measures for Delivery Management of Dalian Commodity Exchange, the Measures for Arbitrage Trading Management of Dalian Commodity Exchange, and the Measures for Hedging Management of Dalian Commodity Exchange are hereby promulgated.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission announced today the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington has resolved all claims the CFTC filed in its September 2024 complaint against Qian Bai and Chao Li, both residents of the People’s Republic of China, their co-conspirator Lan Bai, a resident of Oklahoma, as well as Aipu Limited and Fidefx Investments Ltd., which were both United Kingdom private limited companies.
