SGX Securities today welcomed the listing of Lion-China Merchants Emerging Asia Select Index ETF, managed by Lion Global Investors (LGI). This ETF is designed to track the growth of four of Asia’s most vibrant emerging economies, namely India, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand (IMIT). It aims to provide investors with a targeted opportunity to benefit from the economic potential of these markets.

New Zealand Financial Markets Authority Cancels Auditor’s Licence To Carry Out FMC Audits For Multiple Failures

The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) – Te Mana Tātai Hokohoko – has cancelled the New Zealand licence of Sydney based auditor, Mr Sam Danieli, to carry out FMC audits in New Zealand. Mr Danieli’s licence was issued by the FMA under the Auditor Regulation Act 2011 (the AR Act). New Zealand allows recognition of Australian based auditors under the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 1997 (the TTMRA).

Good morning and welcome to the final Investor Advisory Committee meeting of 2024. This year has been one of transition for the Committee. There were changes in Committee leadership, a large number of Committee members completed their terms and left the Committee, and five new Committee members were appointed. This year, the Commission reformed the IAC selection process to foster greater continuity of Committee membership by staggering terms, which is intended to limit turnover to no more than 25% in any given year.

Good morning and welcome to the final meeting of the Market Risk Advisory Committee (MRAC) for 2024. I am delighted to have you all here, in person and virtually, to continue the thoughtful conversations and important developments of the Committee to advance a number of potential risks facing the futures and derivatives markets. Today, we continue the long tradition of this Committee’s engagement with the Commission, its valuable insight into the concerns that shape the stability and integrity of global derivatives markets, and its collaboration toward developing ways that the industry and the Commission can prepare for and mitigate the most critical risks facing our markets today. The work of this Committee influences the creation of regulation, industry standards, and best practices that govern global derivatives markets. Ontario Securities Commission Publishes Compliance Review Findings And Guidance For Crypto Asset Trading Platforms

The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) published its findings from a focused compliance review of crypto asset trading platforms (CTPs). OSC Staff Notice 33-757 Review of Restricted Dealer Crypto Asset Trading Platforms’ Compliance with the Account Appropriateness, Investment Limits and Client Limits Requirements summarizes the OSC’s findings from the review and provides guidance to help CTPs in meeting their regulatory obligations.
