Amman Stock Exchange: The First In The Middle East To Launch A Climate-Related Disclosure Regulatory Framework And Guidance

Under the patronage of H.E. the Minister of Investment, Eng. Mothana Gharaibeh, the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE) has announced the launch of the Climate Disclosure Regulatory Framework in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, in partnership with the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This initiative aims to enhance the disclosure of climate-related information by listed companies, as part of ASE’s efforts to implement the latest sustainability standards across its three pillars: environmental, social responsibility, and governance (ESG). The initiative comes in response to the increasing demand from investors and investment funds for such disclosures in line with the latest international standards and best practices. This achievement is the first of its kind in the Middle East and aligns with Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision, enhancing transparency, sustainability, and disclosure. It also enhances investor’s confidence in the national economy and capital market while increasing its competitiveness.

Nasdaq (Nasdaq: NDAQ) announces that Montrose by Carnegie has listed their first ETF on Nasdaq Stockholm. The ETF named Montrose Global Monthly Dividend, is the first ETF on Nasdaq Stockholm to offer global exposure with monthly dividend payouts, listed in the local Swedish currency (SEK).

UK VC Funding Up By 43.5% YoY To $1.2 Billion In January 2025 Despite Fewer Deals, Finds GlobalData

The venture capital (VC) funding landscape in the UK market saw year-on-year (YoY) decline in deal volume by 12.6% from January 2024 to January 2025, with the number of deals dropping from 87 to 76. Despite this decrease in deal volume, the total funding value increased significantly by 43.5% from $863.2 million in January 2024 to $1.2 billion in January 2025, according to GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

JPMorgan Classifies Qatar And Kuwait As Developed Markets For Bonds

JPMorgan has announced that it has classified Qatar and Kuwait as developed markets, and that they will no longer be included in the Emerging Markets Bond Index. The American investment bank stated that it will increase the weighting of bonds from both Gulf countries in equal nominal amounts over a six-month period, starting on March 31 and continuing until August 29. JPMorgan's Emerging Markets Bond Indices are considered the global benchmark for emerging market debt.

According to the Measures for Risk Management of Dalian Commodity Exchange, it is decided upon discussion that from the settlement on February 26 (Wednesday), 2025, the price limits of EG, EB and LPG futures will be adjusted from 7% to 6%, the trading margins will be adjusted from 8% to 7%.
