Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Joins Association Of National Numbering Agencies (ANNA)

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (www.tase.co.il) announced that it has been accepted as a member of the Association of National Numbering Agencies. The TASE's membership was approved at the general meeting of ANNA held in New York last week and it will improve TASE's services to international investors.

Reuters And The TSE Reach Agreement On Distribution Rights For Desktop Trading Workstation

The Toronto Stock Exchange and Reuters announced today that they have reached an agreement whereby Reuters has reacquired the Canadian distribution rights for the desktop trading workstation software developed by Reuters as part of the TSE's TOREX programme. This agreement does not include TOREX v1.2 which will continue to be licensed by the TSE until it is phased out in 2000. The Chicago Board of Trade's (CBOT) Dow Jones futures and options contracts will begin open outcry trading at 7:20 a.m. (CT) beginning Monday, November 29. The Dow Jones futures contract will also be available to trade side-by-side on the CBOT's Project A electronic trading system from 7:20 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. (Currently, the pit opens for trading at 8:00 a.m. CT.)
