Ms Patareeya Benjapolchai, Executive Vice President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), announced that the SET had selected a number of new securities to be included in the calculation of the SET50 Index for the 1 July - 31 December 2002 period. Four securities are added to the list: PTT Plc (PTT) from the Energy Sector, Aeon Thana Sinsap (Thailand) Plc (AEONTS) from the Finance and Securities Sector, Golden Land Property Development Plc (GOLD) and Quality Houses Plc (QH) from the Property

Standard & Poor's Announces Changes In S&P Canadian Indices

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index change effective after the close of business on Thursday, June 13, 2002: The relative weight of The Thomson Corporation (TSX: TOC) will increase by approximately 0.23% in the S&P/TSX Composite and S&P/TSX Capped Composite, 0.30% in the S&P/TSX 60 and S&P/TSX 60 Capped, 2.39% in the S&P/TSX Consumer Discretionary and 0.26% in the TSX 100 Indices. SEC Charges Former ImClone CEO Samuel Waksal With Illegal Insider Trading

The Securities and Exchange Commission today filed charges against Samuel Waksal, the former CEO of ImClone Systems Inc., for illegal insider trading. In its complaint, the Commission charges that Waksal received disappointing news late last December that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration would soon issue a decision rejecting for review ImClone's pending application to market its cancer treatment drug, Erbitux. The Palestine Securities Exchange announced that the trading session of today, Wednesday the 12th of June 2002, has been cancelled due to the continuous siege and curfew which has been imposed on the city of Ramallah by the Israeli army. The settlement bank and Ramallah's brokerage firms are forced to close.

London Stock Exchange Monthly Market Report For May 2002 - Number Of UK Shares Traded Up 34% On May 2001 - Number Of Trades On Sets Up 48% On May 2001

The number of UK shares traded on the London Stock Exchange rose 34 per cent in May to 62.4 billion shares, compared with 46.4 billion shares in the same month in 2001. There were 22 trading days in May 2002 compared with 21 days in May 2001.

CME's EuroFX Futures Volume Breaks 90,000 Mark

EuroFX futures traded on Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME) set a new single-day volume record yesterday, June 11, when 93,328 contracts changed hands. This record surpassed the previous record of 78,395 contracts set on Dec. 11, 2001 by more than 19 percent.
