Effective today, Island Holding Company has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Instinet Group Incorporated.     Reaffirming again that it has a delayed reaction, the UAE markets followed the other GCC market's trend, shedding 1.6 per cent in the week that ended on Thursday. Although it may seem a delayed reaction to regional tensions, UAE shares should not slump drastically as other regional markets have, given the fact that incremental gains witnessed since the start of the year have been smooth and sustainable. The SC UAE Index lost 1.61 % to 1,123.56 points on a decreased volume of 6.7 million shares.

  • Deutsche Börse Launches Dax Trend Indicator - DAX Sentiment Index Measures The Market Participants' Expectations

    Starting September 26, Deutsche Börse will publish a trend indicator for the DAX German blue-chip index. This will be the second sentiment index to be calculated by the exchange, which started out with the Neuer Markt Sentiment Index in January this year. Sentiment indices are trend indicators and reflect the investors' assessment of future market trends.
