Copenhagen Stock Exchange: Share Trading Beats All-Time High From 2000

The value of share trading this year reached an all-time high last week with DKK 455 billion and thus beat the record share trading volume from 2000. The share trading for the full year is now expected to arrive at well over DKK 500 billion.

CME, the largest U.S. futures exchange, announced today that it has launched new implied butterfly spread trading functionality for CME Eurodollars on Globex®, the exchange’s electronic trading platform. The new butterfly spread functionality is similar to what currently exists for electronic Eurodollar calendar trades, but now allows users to more efficiently establish and liquidate butterfly positions within the first three years of the yield curve.

The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today the launch of the Liquidity Analyzer, a software application that allows market users to organize and display trade data from the exchange's Liquidity Data Bank (LDB). The LDB, a CBOT market data file with timely information about recent trading activity, is one of the exchange's proprietary data products used by customers to design trading strategies.

Julie Erhardt Named As SEC Deputy Chief Accountant

Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman William H. Donaldson today announced the selection of Julie A. Erhardt to serve as Deputy Chief Accountant for the Commission. As Deputy Chief Accountant, Erhardt will report to Donald T. Nicolaisen, Chief Accountant. She will share responsibilities for the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Chief Accountant with Scott Taub and Andrew Bailey. These responsibilities include resolution of accounting and auditing issues, rulemaking projects, and o
