Oslo Børs: Liquidity Categories And Information Symbols In Use From Today

Starting today, companies listed on Oslo Børs will be categorised on the basis of liquidity in their shares. This new approach to presenting companies can already be seen on the Oslo Børs web site and elsewhere, and a number of Norwegian newspapers will start to use the categories tomorrow. At the same time stock exchange tables now use the Information Symbol and the English Symbol to identify companies that satisfy specific requirements for the content and distribution of information in Norwegi

NASD Sanctions 18 Firms For Order Audit Trail (OATS) Reporting And Supervision Violations - Total Fines Over $1.2 Million - SG Cowen Ordered To Pay $800,000

NASD today announced it has censured and imposed fines totaling more than $1.2 million on 18 firms for violations relating to NASD's Order Audit Trail ("OATS") rules and supervision. The largest single action was against SG Cowen, LLC of New York, NY, which was censured and fined $800,000 for failing to report millions of orders over a four-year period.
MSCI Hedge Invest Index Quarterly Review: Number of Constituent Funds Exceeds 100 For The First Time

MSCI, a leading provider of equity, fixed income and hedge fund indices, has announced the results of the October Quarterly Index Review of the MSCI Hedge Invest Index, its hedge fund index containing funds with weekly liquidity. Minneapolis Grain Exchange Electronic Trading Hours And Launch Date Announced

The Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX) announced this week that it will offer nighttime electronic trading hours for MGEX Hard Red Spring Wheat futures and options in addition to daytime open outcry. These contracts will trade electronically along side the MGEX grain and oilseed index contracts on the Chicago Board of Trade’s electronic trading platform – e-cbot® powered by LIFFE CONNECT®.
