Standard & Poor's Announces Changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Wednesday, April 2, 2003: Killam Properties Inc. (TSXVN:KMP) will be removed from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index. The shares of the company will be delisted from the TSX Venture Exchange at that time. The company will graduate to the TSX to trade under the symbol "KMP" effective at the opening of trading on Thursday, April 3, 2003.

Securities And Exchange Board Of India: Introduction of T+2 rolling settlement in Indian equity market from April 01, 2003

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) had introduced T+5 rolling settlement in equity market from July 2001 and subsequently shortened the settlement cycle to T+3 from April 2002. After having gained experience of T+3 rolling settlement, it was felt appropriate to further reduce the settlement cycle to T+2 thereby reducing the risk in the market and to protect the interest of investors. SEC Requires Exchange Listing Standards For Audit Committees

The Securities and Exchange Commission today voted to adopt rules directing the national securities exchanges and national securities associations to prohibit the listing of any security of an issuer that is not in compliance with the audit committee requirements established by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002. The new rules and amendments implement the requirements of Section 10A(m)(1) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as added by Section 301 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
