March was the most successful month at Eurex to date: The international derivatives market set a new record in monthly volume with over 106 million contracts traded, beating the previous record set in October 2002 (86.6 million contracts) by some 20 million contracts. Compared with March 2002 (62.7 million contracts), Eurex volume increased 69 percent. Deutsche Börse: 266 Billion Euros In Turnover On The German Stock Exchanges In March - New Record In Number Of Transactions On Xetra

The aggregate turnover statistics for March 2003 show that a total volume of 266.8 billion euros was traded on the German stock exchanges without Bremen - some 19 percent more than the month before (February 2003: 223.3 billion euros). The total comprises 187 billion euros in equities, warrants and exchange-traded funds as well as 79.8 billion euros in fixed-income securities.

CBOE Exchange-Wide Volume Up 12% In March

The Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) announced today that exchange-wide volume rose 12% in March, while total index options volume increased 86%. This marked the eleventh consecutive month that index options volume has posted a gain over the year-ago level at CBOE.

TSX Will Add Third Match to POSIT™ Canada

TSX Markets today announced that commencing April 8, 2003, POSIT Canada will add a third match to be run at 9:50 AM Eastern Time. With the additional match, POSIT Canada will run three call market matches per day at 9:50 AM, 10:30 AM and 2:30 PM Eastern Time. During each match Participating Organizations and institutions send their orders directly to POSIT Canada without having to disclose their pre-trade information. Trades are matched at the mid-point of the bid/ask spread.

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index change effective after the close of business on Tuesday, April 1, 2003: The relative weight of APF Energy Trust (TSX: AY.UN) will increase by approximately 0.18% in the S&P/TSX Canadian Income Trust Index and by approximately 0.42% in the S&P/TSX Canadian Energy Trust Index. The relative weight change reflects an adjustment to the float trust units of the income trust due to the issuance of units.
