A Chairmen’s Task Force of the Technical Committee of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) today completed deliberations on a code of conduct for credit rating agencies. SET Executive Vice President Mr. Suthichai Chitvanich disclosed that: “The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), through its Sub-committee for the Consideration of Offenses Relating to, and Punishment for, the Charging of Brokerage or Agent Fees for the Buying and Selling of Listed Securities, has ruled that BT Securities has violated the SET’s Rules and Procedures for Collecting Brokerage or Agent Fees and the SET regulations on Good Corporate Governance of Members, dated 11 January 2002.

NYBOT Trading At Record Levels - Volume Up 30% YTD

Trading volume on the New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®) markets, the world’s leading “soft” commodity exchange, continues to climb, with Year-To-Date (YTD) volumes through the end of November 2004 reaching 29,282,295 combined futures and options contracts -- 6,688,496 more contracts than 2003, a 30% increase.

Number Of Daily Transactions On Futures and Options On The RTS Stock Exchange Exceeds 10 000

On December 3rd, 2004, 10 121 transactions were registered on FORTS, Futures and Options on the RTS, the derivatives segment of the RTS Stock Exchange, 11% higher than the previous daily maximum of 9 150 transactions and 59% more than the average number for November (6 355). Futures contract on "RAO UES' single stock with execution in December traded the most actively - 7 512.
