    The Commission announced today the appointments of Helene Glotzer, David Rosenfeld and Andrew M. Calamari as Associate Regional Directors in New York with responsibility to oversee and manage the Commission’s enforcement program in the Northeast Regional Office. These appointments fill vacancies created in June 2004 by the departure of Barry W. Rashkover for private practice and the promotion of Mark K. Schonfeld to the position of Director of the Northeast Regional Office.

    Eurex US, the fully-electronic U.S. futures and options exchange, today announced that market share in the 5 year U.S. Treasury Note listed at the exchange set a new record: On Monday, November 15 over 27,000 contracts were traded in the 5 year product at the exchange, corresponding to a record market share of 11 percent.

  • Launch Of The NextCAC 70, The Tradable Euronext Blue Chip Index

    Following market demand Euronext will be introducing a new tradable index under the name NextCAC 70 on 31 January 2005. This index will be made up of the top 70 stocks selected from the Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon and Paris markets on the basis of both free-float capitalization and trading value. It will raise the visibility and appeal of the largest and most traded stocks on the Euronext markets.

    FTSE Group announces today that the four FTSE/Northfield multi-factor risk models are now available on FactSet [NYSE: FDS], a leading provider of financial and economic information to the global investment community. FTSE Group's agreement with Northfield Information Systems Inc., in October this year, enabled Northfield to produce tuned models linked to a range of FTSE Indices. These have now been made more widely available through FactSet from 11 November 2004.
