    National Stock Exchange(SM), NSX(SM), today announced that both trades and share volume soared to new record monthly highs in March 2004. The number of trades in March 2004 set a new record 26.7 million, compared with the previous monthly trade record of 20 million set in February 2004. March 2004 share volume of 12.2 billion surpassed the previous monthly volume record of 9.3 billion shares set in February 2004.
