    At his personal initiative and request, Mr. Paul Arlman, FESE’s Secretary General since 1998, has asked to step down and leave the Federation.     PricesOn the last trading session of October 2004 the General Price Index of the Main and Parallel Market reached 955,81 points, representing a relative decrease of 1,89%. The value of shares traded presented also an increase of 6,92% compared to the previous month.     Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) announced today that on Friday, November 19, 2004, the exchange set a series of volume and open interest records. Setting a new all-time high and shattering the prior record, exchange-wide open interest reached 13,615,917 contracts, compared with the previous high of 13,004,167 contracts set on August 26, 2004.
