NYBOT Successfully Launches Pulp Futures Contract

The New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®) successfully launched its pulp futures contract today on the first day of trading, with 312 futures contracts changing hands. National Stock Exchange (NSX(SM)), the largest electronic stock exchange in the United States, today announced that the number of trades in February 2005 reached 30.2 million, up 51 percent from 20 million in February 2004. Share volume in February 2005 of 10.3 billion rose 11 percent from 9.3 billion in February 2004.

February, the shortest month, was an exceptionally big month at the New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®), where the monthly volume came in at the second highest level in the exchange’s 135-year history. In only 19 trading days, the NYBOT markets recorded 3,413,473 combined future and options contracts, close behind the all-time high of 3,611,479 contracts set in June 2004.
Euronext: BEL20® Index: Belgacom Extraordinary Dividend

Following the announcement, made public on the 25th February 2005, by Belgacom of the proposed 0.55€ extraordinary dividend payment, Euronext Indices informs that it will adjust the BEL 20® index divisors. This adjustment will only take place, if the Annual General Meeting of Belgacom shareholders, due on 13th April 2005 approves the extraordinary dividend payment.
