CBOT Metals Holiday Fee Waiver Now In Effect

A Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) metals' fee waiver is in effect today. Due to the strong volume growth of the exchange's full-sized and mini-sized Gold and Silver futures, the CBOT is offering a holiday fee waiver for all Precious Metals futures from November 22, 2004 through January 31, 2005.

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has appointed Tim Herrington as Chairman of the Regulatory Decisions Committee (RDC). Mr Herrington, a financial services partner at City law firm Clifford Chance, is expected to begin his role early in the New Year. The appointment was approved at the FSA's Board meeting yesterday.
