  • Euronext’s Q2 2005 Revenues Amount To €238.6m, Up 5.6% YOY - The Half Year 2005 Revenues Are Stable YOY, With €461.2m

    Revenues for the second quarter of 2005 reached €238.6m, compared to the €225.9m achieved during the same period in 2004. This good quarterly performance was mainly owed to the recovery in stock markets, this trend change having been confirmed by July market volumes. These improved market conditions generated revenue growth in Listing, Cash trading and Settlement & Custody activities. Besides, mainly thanks to its external growth, GL Trade’s revenues continued to rise.

  • Eurex Launches Options Contracts On Swiss Nobel Biocare Bearer Shares - Rising Turnover Swiss Equity Options Trading

    The international derivatives market Eurex is set to launch options contracts on Nobel Biocare (NOBE) bearer shares on 22 August. The derivatives market is thus providing liquid and transparent trading in options on the equity even before its inclusion in the Swiss SMI index on October 3 this year. Including the new product, a total of 29 options on Swiss equities are listed on Eurex.

    The Dubai International Financial Centre Authority (DIFCA) today released for public comment two draft laws relating to securities investment, personal property and insolvency matters within the DIFC.   • Clearstream Shows Good Growth Levels In July

    Clearstream’s core business areas saw further growth during July 2005 with the number of monthly international transactions processed rising 26.8 percent at 1.65 million compared to the same month last year (July 2004: 1.30 million).
