  • TSX Group -- Christmas Holiday Closures

    Both Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange will close on 1:00 p.m. EST on Friday, December 24 and will be closed on Monday, December 27 and Tuesday, December 28 in lieu of Christmas and Boxing Day. Both Exchanges will re-open for business on Wednesday, December 29.

  • Power Outage At Reuters Affects Real-Time Data Feeds To Several S&P Indices

    Due to a power outage at Reuters Holdings PLC's technical centre in London, Standard & Poor’s was unable to access real-time market data for several of its indices in Europe, Canada, and the United States for most of Tuesday, October 12th. Power to Reuter’s data feed system was restored for real-time S&P indices to be calculated at the start of trading on Wednesday, October 13th.

  • NYBOT Announces Spot Cycle Months For U.S. Dollar-Rand Futures To Be Eliminated And November 2004 Futures Contract To Be Delisted

    The New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®) announced today that effective with the close of business today, October 14, an amendment to its rules will be implemented. The effect of the amendment is to remove provisions for Spot Cycle Contract Months in the U.S. Dollar/South African Rand futures contract.

  • New York Mercantile Exchange: E-miNY(sm) Futures Daily Volume Crosses 10,000 For First Time

    Records were set in e–miNY energy futures(sm) and e–miNY(sm) crude oil futures trading for the second day in a row yesterday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., when e–miNY(sm) volume of 10,953 contracts surpassed the previous record of 9,987 contracts on October 12, while e–miNY(sm) crude oil futures volume of 10,144 contracts exceeded the previous record of 9,196 contracts set on the same day.
