ISDEX® Internet Stock Index Component Change Announced

The Kansas City Board of Trade announces the following changes to the ISDEX® index of Internet stocks, effective with the close of trading on August 21.Verio (VRIO) is no longer in the ISDEX and is being replaced by PHONE.COM (PHCM).
Equity Trading Temporarily Suspended At The Montreal Exchange

Due to a power outage in the Canadian Venture Exchange building (CDNX) which houses the electronic trading platform used by the Montreal Exchange for its 131 listed companies, the equity trading of the Montreal Exchange was suspended today.

Group profit after tax for the first half of 2000 amounted to DKK 12.2 million, up from DKK 9.7 million during the corresponding period in 1999. The FUTOP Clearing Centre reported a loss of 1.3 million, compared with a profit of DKK 0.7 million for the first half of 1999.

HKFE Panel Sees Three-month HIBOR Rising

The Hong Kong Futures Exchange's (HKFE) panel of forecasters from 10 banks predicts that with the demand for interbank funds likely to rise in the next few months due to further expansion of the local economy, the three-month Hong Kong interbank offered rate (HIBOR) will be higher on 16 October compared to its 15 August level. The panel also sees one-month HIBOR rising between now and mid-October. Both forecasts appear in the latest edition of the HKFE's "HIBOR Futures Market Update" newslette

RDCP reported weak interim results for the six months to 30th June 2000. Total turnover remained flat at P5.326m with earnings down 5.8% to P1.150m. Dividends though were 8.3% higher at 8.755t per share.
