Turnover for November was EUR 74,442.7 million. This compares to EUR 59,936.0 million in October. Domestic turnover in November was EUR 65,394.5 million, foreign turnover EUR 7,365.8 million, Nuovo Mercato, Domestic, EUR 1,578.4 million, Nuovo Mercato, Foreign EUR 50.2 million and on the Mercarto Expandi market EUR 53.8 million.

ArcaEx Releases November 2004 Transaction Volume Data

Archipelago Holdings, Inc. (PCX: AX) today announced its November 2004 market transaction volume data for the Archipelago Exchange ("ArcaEx"). Specifically, in NYSE-listed equity securities, ArcaEx's total trading market share was up both year-over-year and sequentially, growing from 1.1% in November 2003 to 2.4% in November 2004 and from 2.3% in October 2004.

Standard & Poor’s Updates Changes To The S&P Global 100 Index

As previously announced by S&P, beginning on Friday, December 17, all S&P U.S. index additions will be made using the added companies' half float-adjusted market capitalization, rather than full market capitalization. This strategy is being implemented in light of S&P’s goal of avoiding unnecessary turnover, and will continue until March 18, 2005, at which point the indices will transition in their entirety to a half float-weighted structure.

Standard & Poor’s Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Tuesday, December 7, 2004: Red Back Mining Inc. (TSXVN:RBI) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to trade on the TSX under the ticker symbol “RBI” at the open on Wednesday, December 8, 2004.

NASD Fines Citigroup Global Markets $275,000, Orders Restitution Relating To Managed Futures Sales - Unsuitable Recommendations, Failed Record Keeping, Inadequate Risk Disclosure Cited

NASD announced today that it has censured and fined Citigroup Global Markets, Inc. $275,000 for a series of violations relating to its sales of two proprietary managed futures funds – Citigroup Diversified Futures Fund L.P. and Salomon Smith Barney Diversified 2000 Futures Fund L.P. Those funds, which invest in commodities including futures, options on futures and forward contracts, are speculative investments that carry a high degree of risk.
