Osaka Securities Exchange Co., Ltd. (OSE) announces that Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) and OSE have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). NASD announced today that it has fined LaSalle Street Securities, Inc. of Elmhurst, IL, $200,000 for failing to adequately supervise Frank Devine, a former representative of the firm who last week began serving a 13-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to federal wire and tax fraud charges for defrauding investors in a Ponzi scheme. LME Select To Open At 0100hrs From 1 June 2006

The London Metal Exchange (LME) has today confirmed that the Exchange’s electronic trading platform, LME Select, will open six hours earlier from 1 June 2006. The new trading times will be from 0100hrs London time to 1900hrs.

ICE Futures To Launch New Coal Contracts

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading electronic energy marketplace, announced that its regulated futures subsidiary will list two new contracts based on coal, pending regulatory approval. The coal contracts are based on Rotterdam in the Netherlands and Richards Bay in South Africa, and will be cash settled against the indices API 2 and API 4 as published in Argus/McCloskey’s Coal Price Index Report.
