The Federation Of European Securities Exchanges Secretariat joins in commemorating the victims of the South East Asian Tsunami disaster with its Member Exchanges throughout Europe by observing three minutes' silence on Wednesday 5 January 2005.

Deutsche Börse Group will observe three minutes of silence at 12.00 noon CET on Wednesday, Jan 5, 2005 in commemoration of the victims of the tsunami disaster and in solidarity with the population in the affected countries. Deutsche Börse Group respectfully requests market participants to observe the minutes of silence, however markets will remain open.

(PCX: AX), the parent company of the Archipelago Exchange (ArcaEx), yesterday announced that the company has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire PCX Holdings, Inc., parent company of the Pacific Exchange (PCX) and PCX Equities, Inc.
