CBOT®'s Mini-sized Dow<SUP>SM</SUP> Jones Futures Contract Sets Volume Record
The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) today announced that a new daily volume record was set for mini-sized Dow Jones futures with 79,479 contracts traded on January 13, 2004, breaking the previous record of 77,159 contracts set on September 30, 2003.

CBOE Disappointed In SEC Approval Of BOX - Plans Competitive Response
Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) officials today expressed disappointment and concern regarding the Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) approval of the Boston Options Exchange (BOX) proposal to trade listed options. CBOE had made its concerns known to the SEC in comment letters filed prior to the SEC's decision.
