Strong Growth At Clearstream For September 2004

Clearstream’s core business figures showed further growth levels in September 2004. The number of international transactions processed by Clearstream rose to 12.8 million year to date September 2004, an increase of 4.6 percent year on year (January to September 2003: 12.2 million). 18 percent of these transactions are registered as stock exchange transactions, 82 percent as Over the Counter (OTC) transactions. Standard & Poor’s Announces Changes To S&P Index

Senior Housing Properties Trust (NYSE:SNH) will replace Chelsea Property Group Inc. (NYSE:CPG) in the S&P REIT Composite Index after the close of trading on Thursday, October 14, 2004. Chelsea Property is being acquired by S&P 500 and S&P REIT Composite constituent Simon Property Group Inc. (NYSE:SPG) in a transaction expected to close on or about that date. RTS Stock Exchange: Record Monthly Trading Volume in Options

In September 2004 monthly trading volume in options on FORTS (Futures&Options on RTS) reached its all-time maximum - 397 thousand contracts, 10% than the previous record of 360 thousand shown in April 2004. The most popular was the options contract on 'RAO UES of Russia' futures - 48% of total trading volume, followed by the options on 'Gazprom" futures and 'LUKOil' futures - 26,7% and 24,8%, accordingly.

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., board of directors last night voted to move daytime trading of its financially settled PJM monthly electricity futures contract to its NYMEX ClearPortsm system from the trading floor on November 1.
