CalPERS Selects Managers For Three Asset Classes

The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) today included 16 managers in pools that will be tapped to make portfolio investments in international fixed income and real estate equity securities, and in U.S. global equity.

Warsaw Exchange Announces A Quarterly Adjustment In The WIG20 And MIDWIG Indices

Following the ranking, drawn up as of 31 July 2006, the composition of the WIG20 and MIDWIG indices will be changed. In the WIG20 index BORYSZEW will be replaced by POLIMEXMS. In the MIDWIG index POLIMEXMS, WSIP, ABG and SWISSMED will be replaced by LENTEX, BORYSZEW, MNI and IDMSAPL.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Paulson Visits CBOT

U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson during a visit to Chicago made a stop at the Chicago Board of Trade on Friday, August 11, briefly meeting with the Exchange's Board of Directors and taking a guided tour of the agricultural and financial trading floors with CBOT Chairman Charlie Carey and CBOT President and CEO Bernie Dan. As part of the tour of the financial room, Treasury Secretary Paulson was interviewed by CNBC's Financial reporter Rick Santelli.

NYMEX Sets Daily Volume Records On CME Globex® And NYMEX ClearPort®

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. announced today that it set daily volume records for total energy futures, gasoline, heating oil, and NYMEX miNYTM crude oil futures traded on CME Globex and on two NYMEX ClearPort® products on August 10.
Nyenburgh Beheer B.V. Extends Its Membership Of The Nordic Exchange To Include Copenhagen

Nyenburgh Beheer B.V. has been approved as a member of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. Nyenburgh, which is already a member of the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm, will gain trading access to the equity market on the Nordic Exchange in Copenhagen as of August 15.
