Trading at the New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®), the world’s leading “soft” commodity exchange, reached an all-time high during June with 4,541,503 futures and options contracts changing hands – a monthly volume record. The new record surpasses the previous monthly volume high of 4,151,150 contracts established February 2006. The record activity pushed the year-to-date (YTD) total volume for the first half of 2006 25% ahead of the 2005 record numbers.
