FIA And ISDA Publish Documentation For Cleared Swaps

The Futures Industry Association and the International Swaps and Derivatives Association, Inc. (ISDA) today announced the publication of the FIA-ISDA Cleared Derivatives Execution Agreement as a template that can be used by participants in the cleared swaps markets in negotiating execution-related agreements with counterparties to over-the-counter derivatives that are intended to be cleared.

FTSE Group Announces The Acquisition Of The Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB)

FTSE has today acquired full ownership of ICB, the global standard for sector classification, buying out Dow Jones Indexes’ 50% interest in the joint product initiative. The acquisition underlines FTSE’s commitment to developing ICB alongside a robust range of benchmark solutions and decision support tools for global investors.

New Allocation To Liquidity Categories For Oslo Børs Companies From 17 June 2011

On the basis of trading in the shares and equity certificates of stock exchange listed companies over the last six months, Oslo Børs has carried out a routine 6-monthly review of the allocation of listed companies to liquidity categories. The new allocations will come into effect from Friday 17 June 2011.

NYSE Euronext Announces Appointment Finbarr Hutcheson As Executive Vice President, Global OTC Services

NYSE Euronext has appointed Mr Finbarr Hutcheson as Executive Vice President Global OTC Services. Mr Hutcheson takes up his appointment on 1 July and will work closely with market users to develop new services to support the global over-the-counter (OTC) markets in response to regulatory reform and the industry’s ongoing efforts to improve market structures. Finbarr will be based in London and report directly to Duncan Niederauer, Chief Executive Officer of NYSE Euronext.

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) is holding its annual investor conference "Israel Opportunity" on July 7, 2011. Already in its eleventh year, the conference brings leading International investment houses together with the CEOs of some of Israel’s most prominent and promising companies.The conference is designed to expose leading international institutional investors to TASE and to TASE-listed companies. It gives investors the opportunity to become aware of the potential engendered in Israel’s dynamic economy and capital market.

Dillon Gage Metals Becomes An Associate Member Of The London Bullion Market Association

In May, Dillon Gage Metals was named an associate member of The London Bullion Market Association (LBMA), a wholesale, over-the-counter market for trading gold and silver. Members are mostly international banks, bullion dealers and refiners.

SEC Provides Guidance aAd Temporary Relief Regarding Security-Based Swap Provisions Of Dodd-Frank Act

The Securities and Exchange Commission today provided guidance as to which of the Title VII requirements of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act will apply to security-based swap transactions as of July 16, the effective date of Title VII. It also granted temporary relief to market participants from compliance with certain of these requirements.
