Thai Bourse’s Opportunity Day Well-Received By Investors

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) announces that the second-quarter “Opportunity Day” event, where top managements of listed companies meet directly with analysts and investors, during August 6-September 6, has was well-received from audiences viewing the event live via SET’s website, www.set.or.th, partners’ websites, and smartphones, with the number of viewers rising by 87 percent from a year earlier (as of August 24).

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today issued an Order filing and settling charges against SMP Bank (SMP), headquartered in Moscow, Russia, and Epaster Investments, Ltd.(Epaster), an investment company located in Nicosia, Cyprus, for engaging in wash sales and causing the execution of non-competitive pre-arranged trades in the Japanese Yen options contract traded on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME).

Federal Reserve Board Considering Changes To The Implementation Timeline For The Dodd-Frank Company-Run Stress Test Requirements

The Federal Reserve Board is considering changes to the implementation timeline for the annual company-run stress test requirements required by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The changes under consideration would delay implementation until September 2013 for bank holding companies, state member banks, and savings and loan holding companies with between $10 billion and $50 billion in total consolidated assets.

Training An Education Cooperation Between Eurex And China Futures Association - Options Training Course In Beijing

Within the scope of a Training & Education cooperation between Eurex and CFA (China Futures Association) the first Eurex-CFA Options training course was held from 23 to 28 July, 2012 at Beijing, Friendship Hotel. The course model is a two stage options training for the managers of research and asset management departments as well as traders of Chinese futures companies. Stage one contains a domestic training in Beijing, China, stage two is a foreign training in Frankfurt, Germany.

CFTC Issues Final Rules Establishing Swap Dealer And Major Swap Participant Requirements For Swap Trading Relationship Documentation, Swap Confirmation, Reconciliation And Compression Of Swap Portfolios

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today approved final rules to improve the risk management procedures of swap dealers and major swap participants. The CFTC voted 5 to 0 via seriatim to approve the final rules, which will become effective 60 days after publication in the Federal Register.
