Nymex To Change Margin Rates For Some Natural Gas Basis Contracts

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., will change the margins on some of its NYMEX Division natural gas basis contracts as of the close of business February 4.

The New York Board of Trade® (NYBOT®) announced today that its cocoa options contract has set a new open interest record of 97,698 contracts set on February 3, 2003. The previous record was 96,054 contracts established on October 18, 2002.

Eurex Off To A Good Start This Year With 85 Million Contracts Traded In January

Eurex, the international derivatives market, got off to a good start in 2003 with 85 million contracts traded and cleared in January, its second-highest monthly volume to date. Compared with January 2002, trading on the world's leading derivatives exchange grew more than 30 percent, with an average of some 3.9 million contracts traded per day. The Eurex participants, who are linked with Eurex worldwide from 648 locations, boosted the trading and clearing performance in all segments on the world'
