    The Nasdaq Stock Market® today announced that, in an effort to cooperate with all Nasdaq® market participants and in consultation with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), it will delay the implementation of inside quotation calculations in the after-hours trading environment until February 7, 2000.   • Eurex: Second-Best Monthly Volume With 36.7 Million Contracts Traded In November

    The month of November was a record month for the derivatives market, Eurex, in many respects. With a volume of 36.7 million contracts traded, Eurex achieved the second-highest monthly volume ever posted by a derivatives exchange, after 38.4 million contracts in June 1999. The November trading volume is over 93 percent higher than the figure recorded in the same month of last year.

  • Equity Index Volume Sets New November Mark As GLOBEX®2 Volume Rises Nearly 92 Percent Year-To-Date

    Equity index futures and options on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) traded more heavily than any previous November, up more than 25 percent over year-ago levels. Equity index product volume reached 3,658,869, while total exchagewide volume was 14.3 million contracts. GLOBEX2 volume saw an increase of nearly 92 percent, year-to-date.

    Turnover in equities, fixed-income securities and warrants on the German stock exchanges in November was 18.6 percent higher than the volume posted in the same month of last year. The total turnover statistics for all German stock exchanges in November show that a volume of 464 billion EUROs was traded, 310 billion EURO in equities and warrants, and 154 billion EURO in fixed-income securities.
