New York Mercantile Exchange To Decrease Intra-Commodity Margins On Copper Futures Contract

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced today that it will decrease the intra-commodity spread margins on its copper futures contract to $80 from $420 for clearing members and members, and to $108 from $567 for customers at the close of business today.

Jouni Torasvirta has been appointed acting Managing Director of Helsingin Pörssi, a subsidiary of HEX Plc, as of 27 May 2003. Jukka Ruuska will continue as the President and CEO of HEX Plc and will be the Chairman of the Board of Helsingin Pörssi as of 27 May 2003.

Contract Changes Seasonal Degree Weather Futures And Options

The CME Contract Specifications pages on the CME's Web site have been updated to reflect the following: In addition to the current weather monthly products, CME® will offer seasonal weather products beginning May 26, 2003. These unique products are five-months in length for each season - summer contracts are May through September, winter contracts are November through March.

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced a settled enforcement action against PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) for improper professional conduct in connection with its audit of SmarTalk TeleServices, Inc.'s (SmarTalk) year-end 1997 financial statements. As described in the SEC's order, SmarTalk, a now-bankrupt provider of pre-paid telephone cards and wireless services, filed with the Commission an annual report on Form 10-K, which contained materially false and misleading financial
