Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange: More Flexibility In Share Buy-Backs For Market Efficiency

The Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) has made amendments to the KLSE Listing Requirements (LR) to provide listed companies more flexibility in relation to share buy-backs. Listed companies were first allowed under the Guidelines issued by KLSE, to buy back their own shares in September 1997.

Investment Services Directive: Council Agreement Is Major Step Towards Integrated EU Equities Market

The European Commission has welcomed the Council's political agreement on the proposed Investment Services Directive. The proposed Directive would increase harmonisation of national rules and give investment firms an effective "single passport", which would allow them to operate throughout the EU on the basis of authorisation in their home Member State. FTSEurofirst Warrants Listed On Euronext By BNP Paribas Warrants

Euronext today announced an addition to the range of products based on the FTSEurofirst indices. Following the launch on 23 June 2003 of index options and futures, and that of FTSEurofirst 80 Master Unit tracker on 25 September 2003, a major new series of warrants was introduced today on the Euronext Paris market by BNP Paribas Warrants.

EuroMTS Index Licenses Lyxor AM For First Exchange Traded Funds

MTSNext today announced that it has entered into an agreement to license Paris-based Lyxor Asset Management for Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) aimed at tracking the EuroMTS Index. The EuroMTS Index is the only independent, real time eurozone government bond index calculated using tradable prices.
