Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Introduces Market Makers' Rules

The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Board of Directors approved rules for market makers' integration into the TASE's order-driven trading system. The Board also decided to offer reduced commissions to derivatives-market makers. At the same time, the Exchange is developing a computerized system to monitor market makers' obligations to provide quotes.

Standard & Poor's will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Monday, June 23, 2003: Atlas Energy Ltd. (TSXVN:AED) will be removed from the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index. The company is graduating to the TSX effective at the opening on Wednesday, June 25, 2003, to trade under the ticker symbol "AED."
Singapore Exchange And Monetary Authority Of Singapore To Pool S$7.5 Million To Develop Securities And Derivatives Industry

Singapore Exchange Ltd (SGX) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today announced that they will jointly establish a S$7.5 million pool of funds for developing the securities and derivatives industry in Singapore. Half of the funding will come from the Financial Sector Development Fund (FSDF), administered by MAS, while the other half will be contributed by SGX. The exchange's contribution of S$3.75 million will be recognised in its current financial year.
