Introduction Of Give-Up System For TOPIX /JGB Futures And Options

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) will implement major revisions to the rules of its derivatives market (TDEX including the introduction of give-up system with the replacement of the derivatives trading system scheduled on January 15th, 2008. The TSE intends to further improve the convenience of Tdex for the investors by these reforms and will continue to strive to make Tdex one of the world major derivatives markets.

Tokyo Stock Exchange: "Evening Session" For Index Futures And Options

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) will expand the trading hours for index futures and options by introducing an “Evening Session” scheduled for May 2008. In doing this, the TSE intends to further energize and enhance the convenience of its derivatives market (TDEX) by responding to domestic institutional investors’ after-hours trading needs, while at the same time promoting further participation by non-Japanese investors.

Three New SMARTS® Customers In Europe

Riga, Tallinn and Vilnuis, the three Baltic exchanges, in Northern Europe have gone live with SMARTS® on 1st November 07. The system was delivered to these exchanges as part of the obSurveX managed service run by Oslo Børs in Norway.

SGX And OMX Sign Agreement On New Clearing System

Singapore Exchange (SGX) and OMX today announced that they have signed an agreement to implement a new clearing system using OMX technology to enhance SGX’s derivatives and securities clearing capabilities. The new system will serve as the clearing platform for SGX derivatives, securities and OTC clearing businesses. It is targeted for launch in 2009.

Standard & Poor's Announces the S&P Canadian Bond Index Rebalancing Report for November 2007

Standard & Poor's has completed the monthly rebalancing of the S&P Canadian Bond Index. According to index methodology, the universe of Canadian bonds is exhaustively reviewed to reflect changes in par amount and term to existing index constituents. Qualifying new issues are added to the index and existing constituents that no longer meet the criteria for inclusion are removed.
