The SET board extends the promotion period offering a 50% discount on listed companies' annual fees to two consecutive years for those participating in the Corporate Governance (CG) Rating Program and obtaining seven (out of ten) points or higher. Companies must be rated by 2004 to be eligible for this promotion. Over THB 30 million has been reserved for this purpose. The Philadelphia Stock Exchange Announces Record One-Day Equity Options Volume - Equity Options Market Share Soared To 20.25%

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced today that volume in equity options reached a record high on Tuesday, December 16 when 899,175 contracts traded representing a market share of 20.25%. This record volume day is part of a continuing trend of market share growth for the PHLX. Over the past four months, the PHLX has consistently increased its market share.

The Philadelphia Stock Exchange announced today that volume in options reached another record high today when 1,329,309 contracts traded representing a market share of 26.1%. This volume surpasses yesterday's record high when 923,641 contracts traded on market share of 19.1%. This is the first time that the PHLX has led the industry in options volume.

Stockholmsbörsen's segments for the most heavily traded shares will be updated as of January 1, 2004. Two new companies will be added to the Most Traded segment of the A List, while one will be removed. Attract40 will have 16 new companies and 13 will be removed from the segment.
Stock Exchange of Thailand: Stocks Excluded From Index Calculation

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) will adjust its Index calculation by excluding those stocks that have been suspended for over one year from the Index. The SET announces that the following stock will be excluded from the calculation of the Index until such time as it is permitted to resume trading.

The Securities and Exchange Commission today voted to approve changes to the governance structure of the New York Stock Exchange; to publish for comment a rule proposal that would amend mutual fund disclosure requirements regarding breakpoint discounts and front end loads; and to publish a concept release to solicit public comment on mutual fund transaction cost issues.
