New composition of Next 150 Index Following the official result of the takeover bid by a consortium of investment, VDXK Acquisition, for the company Vendex KBB (Next 150), Vendex KBB will be removed from the Next 150 Index effective Thursday 1 July 2004. Constituent Changes To The S&P/ASX 50 Index

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/ASX 50 Index pending the final approvals of the scheme of arrangement to merge Westfield Holdings Limited, Westfield Trust and Westfield America Trust. If final approvals are met the merger will become effective 5th July 2004. The following changes will be made after the close of business Friday 2nd July.

CME Unveils Incentive Program Targeting New GLOBEX(R) Traders - Total Fee Waivers Available For Up To Six Months

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc. (CME), the largest U.S. futures exchange, today announced it will establish an incentive program starting September 1 targeting new electronic market participants. The program will waive transaction fees for up to six months for new traders learning to trade products on CME's GLOBEX(R) electronic trading platform.

CFTC Comments On USDA’s First Inconclusive Test In BSE Testing Program

On Friday afternoon, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced its first "inconclusive" BSE test result, after four weeks of the "USDA Enhanced BSE Testing Program" of selected US cattle populations. This is a program to identify the prevalence of any possible BSE in the US cattle herd.

Tokyo Stock Exchange: In Response To Today’s Newspaper Report Concerning Free-Float Adjusted Indices

In response to an article that appeared in a newspaper today, Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) denied the fact that it has made any announcements regarding the free-float adjustment of TOPIX. TSE also announced that it is in the final stages of preparations to publish public comment results. These results will be released in July 2004 (the previous announcement date was late June 2004).
