Stock Exchange Of Thailand: Total Trading Value In 2004 Exceeds THB 5 Trillion With Avg. Daily Trading At More Than THB20,000 Mln.

Total trading turnover in 2004 reached THB5 trillion (approx. USD125 bln.), up 7% from 2003. Daily trading value was recorded at THB20,000 mln. (approx. USD500 mln.). Total market capitalization stood at THB4.5 trillion. Nevertheless, for the year, the SET Index decreased by 14%, due to both internal and external factors.

Standard & Poor’s Announces Changes In The S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Venture Composite Index after the close of trading on Wednesday, December 29, 2004: Chariot Resources Limited (TSXVN:CHD) will be removed from the index. The company will graduate to trade on the TSX under the ticker symbol “CHD” at the open on Thursday, December 30, 2004.

The Spanish Exchange today began trading 83 new warrants issued by Santander Central Hispano. The underlying assets for the warrants are domestic and foreign shares and indices and exchange rates.

Share Changes in the S&P/ASX 50 Index

Standard & Poor’s will make the following changes in the S&P/ASX 50 Index effective after the close of trading Wednesday January 5th 2005: Australia and NZ Banking Group (Australia, SEDOL: 6065586, GICS Code: 40101010) a member of the S&P/ASX 50 Index will increase its shares to 1,824,510,000. This change is due to a Dividend Reinvestment Plan.
