Tokyo Stock Exchange April Review Of constituents Of TOPIX New Index Series

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) will make changes to the constituents of the TOPIX New Index Series, including TOPIX Core 30, TOPIX 100 and TOPIX 500, effective after the close of trading Wednesday, April 28. The gApril Reviewh will be newly added and only constituent additions will be conducted in accordance with our press release of February 27 .

Standard & Poor's Comments On FASB Decision On Options Expensing

Standard & Poor's, a leading provider of independent investment research, indices, and ratings, estimates that the FASB's decision to require expensing of stock options would retroactively reduce estimated 2004 As Reported EPS for the S&P 500 to $48.45 from $52.30, a change of $3.85 or 7.4%. The Securities and Exchange Commission yesterday announced a scheduling change to its public hearings on proposed Regulation NMS, a proposal designed to enhance and modernize the regulatory structure of the U.S. equity markets. The first hearing will take place on April 21, 2004, in New York, rather than on Thursday, April 1, in Washington, D.C. to better accommodate the schedules of participants.
