The European Council met in Brussels on 12 December 2003. The meeting was preceded by an exposé by the President of the European Parliament, Mr Pat Cox, followed by an exchange of views concerning the main items on the agenda.

SWX Indices: Re-Inclusion Of Intershop Into SPI® As Of 29 December 2003

Following correction of the information concerning the holding of the majority shareholder, the SWX Swiss Exchange has decided that Intershop is to be included in the SPI® once again as of 29 December 2003. As it could be proven that the threshold of at least 20 % free float of Intershop bearer shares had been held constant for three months (SPI® Regulations, Art. 1.5.4), the stock will be re-admitted to the SPI® Index on 29 December 2003 after a 14-day notice period has been observed.
Stockholm Stock Exchange: Liquidity Providers Reduce Investment Risk And Trading Costs

An independent study of the liquidity provider system available at Stockholmsbörsen shows that the companies that have enlisted the services of liquidity providers have experienced a reduced spread and an increased trading volume for their shares.
