Deutsche Börse: Scenario Calculation For The Equity Indices - Changes In The Equity Indices Effective On 19 December

Effective on 19 December, new weights will apply for the companies in the equity indices of Deutsche Börse. Deutsche Börse released the preliminary weighting figures on Wednesday. The preliminary data can be downloaded from the Deutsche Börse website (www.deutsche-boerse.com). The final figures based on Friday’s Xetra closing prices will be published at the Deutsche Börse website on Saturday.

Copenhagen Stock Exchange Selects New MidCap+ And SmallCap+ Portfolios

The Copenhagen Stock Exchange has just selected the shares to be included in the future MidCap+ and SmallCap+ portfolios, which will be effective from January 1, 2006 until June 30, 2006. Compared with today’s portfolios, three more companies have qualified for the plus segments, which will then comprise 63 companies. Bavarian Nordic and Neurosearch are new members of the plus segments and will both enter MidCap+. Also new in MidCap+ is Nordicom, which moves from SmallCap+. Skælskør Bank is new

Borsa Italiana's S&P/MIB Index Reached New All-Time High Over 35,000 Pts

As a result of the quarterly review of 30 November 2005, the following changes for the BEL Mid index (BELM) and BEL Small index (BELS) will be effective as of Monday, 2 January 2006.

ASX Warns Of Index Expiry-Related Volatility

This Thursday (15 December 2005), ASX and SFE December 2005 equity index derivatives contracts expire. The settlement price for these contracts is calculated with reference to the opening price of the component stocks in the relevant indices on that day. The indices affected are the S&P/ASX 200, S&P/ASX 50, and the S&P/ASX 200 Property Trusts Index.

Wiener Börse: International Index Comparison: Year-End 2000 - November 2005

In November, stock markets developed quite divergently. The month of November went well for the ATX, which climbed to an all-time high again of 3,500 points. The indices SMI and DAX succeeded in reducing their long-term performance losses. The Dow Jones Industrial Average also improved. At 10,800 points, the leading American index nearly hit the level it had had at the end of 2000. A declining tendency prevailed for the other indices in the past few weeks.

TSX Group -- Christmas Holiday Closures

Both Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange will have regular business hours on Friday, December 23 and Friday, December 30, 2005. The exchanges will be closed on Monday, December 26th, Tuesday, December 27th and Monday, January 2, 2006.
